Class 3 licence is preferred

Midlite 3 JM PLTs for NWT Remote Work.

Class 3 Licence minimum. 25KV Hotline Experience Required.

A&D Test will be required within 72 hrs of receiving dispatch

Minimum Training requirements BEFORE showing up to site.

Must have valid Harness/Fall Protection training from Energy Safety Canada or Equivalent from Local 1928 Jurisdiction (“Working at Heights” from Ontario is acceptable)
CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) – Free online – (2-3 hrs) See link
BSO/CSO (Basic/Commmon Safety Orientation) – (3-4 hrs) (Not required for Midlite NWT Calls) This is reimbursable from LU 424 after taking dispatch from them. See Link.

For members taking the call, and intro letter with IBEW card #, Trade cert level, address, email, phone #, SIN (remittances require this), and DOB are needed. Also confirmation of current paid dues dues (most locals require out going travelling members to pay 3 months non working in their own hall).

Join us for Pride celebrations across Nova Scotia!

Experience the power of community gathering, celebration, and activism as a part of the 2024 Pride Parades. We hope you will take part in these community events, and demonstrate your support for 2SLGBTQ+ equity! Join members of the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour Anti-Racism/Human Rights Committee across Nova Scotia as we celebrate Pride! Show up an hour before the parade if you can. In Sydney, you need to be there at 11 am.

The 2024 Amherst Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, June 15, at 2:00pm.

The Parade starts at Victoria Square, 54 Victoria Street, Amherst.

The 2024 Truro Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, June 22, at 1:00pm.

Meet at 12 noon at Civic Square at 740 Prince Street. The Parade will go down Lorne, along Queen to Commercial, along prince to Inglis, ending on the Esplanade.

The 2024 South Shore Pride Parade will take place in Bridgewater, starting at the on Saturday, July 7, from 2:00-3:00 pm.

This parade starts at 2 pm at High Street. There is a start flag on High Street. It finishes at King Street and Dufferin.

The 2024 Annapolis Royal Pride Parade will take place in Annapolis Royal starting at the on Saturday, July 7 at 1 pm.

Meet at the Court House on 377 Saint George Street at 1 pm for a 1:30 pm start.

The 2024 Halifax Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, July 20, at 12:00pm.

There is a new parade route for the Halifax Pride Parade!

The new route will start at the north end of Ahern Ave. The parade will travel south on Ahern, turn southeast onto Bell Rd, turn west onto Sackville St, turn south onto Summer St, then travel east on Spring Garden, before turning north on Brunswick St, west on Sackville St, ending at the Halifax Pride Festival Site (Garrison Grounds). This year they will be marshalling the parade along both sides of Cogswell St, between Robie and the roundabout.

The 2024 Cape Breton Pride Parade will take place in Sydney on Saturday, August 3 at 12:00pm.

Parade entrant lineup begins at 11:00 am. Starting in front of the New Dawn Centre (formerly Holy Angels School) on George Street in Sydney.
