Brothers and Sisters of IBEW Local 1928,

The results of the vote are now in, and members have voted to reject the second tentative agreement with Nova Scotia Power.

IBEW Local 1928 will be filing the required 48-hour strike notice with the Nova Scotia Labour Board early Monday morning. Once the Labour Board acknowledges receipt of the notice, the 48-hour countdown will begin.

As a result of the membership's decision to reject the tentative agreement, Local 1928 will also be requesting the required strike authorization from the IBEW International Office.

The union will continue discussions with Nova Scotia Power throughout this process in the hope of reaching a negotiated agreement.
