IBEW Local 1687 needs a hand filling some calls in their jurisdiction.
The information for the calls is as follows:
Start Date: January 31, 2022 (tentative)
IBEW Local: 1687 – Northern Ontario
Positions:
- 1x Groundman Operator
- 2x 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Lineman
Contractor: Forbes Bros
Project Name: A8K & A9K 115kV Transmission Line Refurbishment (Ansonville – Kirkland Lake)
Site Address: 1927 Hwy 11 N, Matheson, ON P0K 1N0
Report to: Jack Linaker – 780-233-3657
Working Hours: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm – 6-10s – 3 weeks in 1 week out
Call Duration: June 2023
Pay: See attached pay schedule
Room and Board: $107.49 per day – must secure own accommodations
Trip in and Out: as per EPSCA Transmission Agreement – paid when hired and at end of project/termination
Flights: Flights will be paid for by the contractor for workers coming from out of the province.
Comments:
Tentative start date may be moved – waiting on delivery schedule and Hydro approvals
Operators – digger, loader, telehandler, excavator, skid steer experience. Puller, tensioner, and crane an asset.
Journeymen and Apprentices – wood pole framing, setting, and transferring experience and asset
