Yesterday contract discussions between IBEW Local 1928 and Nova Scotia Power reached an impasse with a number of issues still on the table and without finalization of a negotiated agreement. NSP requested the IBEW to take a final offer back to its members for their review and a vote, which the Local is obliged to do. Highlights about this offer are available to members from the union office. Business Manager Jeff Richardson will be bringing around hardcopies of a full summary to the unit meetings scheduled for the next two weeks in May (for dates and times, please see the link to the calendar on the Local 1928 website). There will be an electronic vote (taking place over four full days) on the offer immediately following—9am May 29th to 9am June 2nd.
