Political Action

'Who’s on your side?'

"As you are aware, there are talks of an upcoming Federal Election. We need to hold the candidates for this election accountable, when they come knocking at your door, ask them where they stand on these important issues. Canadian workers and their families need and deserve a leader and a government that will stand up for our rights.

Some issues you should ask the candidates to help you decide:

1. Jobs and the economy

2. Health care

3. Pensions and retirement security

4. Poverty reduction

5. Education

6. Fair Treatment for Canadian workers

7. Employment Insurance

Brothers & Sisters, it is imperative that we take a keen interest in politics both Provincial & Federal. We need to know the platforms of different political parties and where they stand on issues such as health care and the right to strike as well as many other labour issues. We must elect people to govern our Province and Country who understand labour issues and support our concerns.

Please exercise your right to vote, if we don't take an interest and the appropriate steps at election time then we will have to suffer the consequences. By voting for a party that supports labour issues, you are taking a stand for yourself as well as the children that follow behind you.

Fraternally,
Michael MacDonald
