By becoming a member of a democratic union such as IBEW Local 1928 working people from all walks of life have an opportunity to further common goals of the working class. Through our union we achieve a strong voice, one that cannot be easily dismissed by management. Just like other organizations such as United Nations, Chambers of Commerce, Doctors, College Professors etc. form unions or associations because they recognize the power that comes from joining together in our common goals. These goals can be achieved because of the strength that comes from our unity, a very old and wisely used concept.

Organizing is very important; it not only benefits the newly organized member but the entire membership. It is important to remember that when our numbers grow our strength grows as well.
