QUICK FACTS

•By 2020 Canada will have a shortage of 1 million skilled workers. (Conference Board of Canada)

•48% of the Canadian workforce will be eligible to retire in the next 5-10 years. (Statistics Canada)

•50% of current trades people plan on retiring within the next 7-10 years. (Information Technology Association of Canada)

•40% of new jobs will be in skilled trades and technology sectors in the next two decades. (Information Technology Association of Canada)

•Over 200 skilled trades occupations are available in Canada. (Canadian Apprenticeship Forum)
